New Beginnings…

It has been a long time coming. If there is anything I can tell you is that it took me a long time to get to this point but all it takes is one idea where you conceptualize it and run with it.

If you’ve ever interacted with me, you might not have noticed but truth is I am a huge overthinker. It’s something that I’ve been working on because it’s literally a crutch. I’m probably overthinking about this post right now… jokes!

Figuring out where you belong is hard, especially when you’re interested in many different areas. The hardest part is defining who you are, what you do, especially when social media has become the new “resume.” People want to place you in a box. You’re a photographer, you’re a journalist, you’re a basketball player, and so on. I believe that when we try to place ourselves in one box, that's where cloudiness occurs.

The overthinking and the constant internal struggle of figuring out what I want to do and how I want to define myself has led me to postpone where I currently am right now.  Not to mention imposter syndrome is a real dream killer.

Now, we are here and after a lot of tears, self-reflection, and continuous improvement, I’m finally “betting on myself.” Don’t get me wrong, I’m nowhere close to where I want to be but I’m getting closer and closer every day. This website and everything I’ve done thus far is an example of what betting on yourself looks like.

I’m happy to call myself a multifaceted creative person. Creativity comes in many forms and it’s okay to love many things and forms of arts.

For anyone reading this, if you are trying to figure out who you are, word of advice is to enjoy the journey and honestly, it’s okay not to have it all figured out. Everything comes full circle.

Personally, I want to thank everyone who’s been on this journey with me. The many late night cry fest sessions or random 4am phone calls when I was having a breakdown (you guys know who you are). Thank you for always having my back.

To all the creatives and brands I’ve worked with, thank you for allowing me to be your canvas to bring your vision to life.

To the team who worked on this project, I appreciate you and you will always have a deep, permanent spot in my heart. Thank you for your patience, hard work, and it was truly an honour to work with such beautiful, creative minds.
